The Girl In The Window
The girl in the window was a heart touching story to begin, then it allows you to feel different emotions. There was a little girl that was in this huge house. She would peak out of the window every now and again. One day the neighbor that lived across the street saw the young girl peak out of the window. The neighbor called the police, and there were no subjected people suppose to be living there besides a mother and her boyfriend and her two children that came around every no and again since they were adults.
The police showed up one day just to check out that place and see what was going on with the little girl the neighbor saw. When they walked into the door there was a disaster of broken glass over the floor, old blankets, and cardboard pieces in windows. The dressing around the windows were stained a yellow color from the old cigarettes that were smoked in house. Feces cover the floor. Not only just cat and dog feces everywhere but also human feces. Cockroaches roamed the floor in massive packs thoughout the whole house.
While the police were roaming around the house they found a young girl laying on a ripped, moldy mattress. She didn't have any clothes on. Her skin was covered head to toe with bites from animals and her hair was crawling with lice. She hadn't had human contact for sometime and the police could see that. She was far behind in her learning. She didn't know what to do with a doll let alone the concept of peek-a-boo. She was taken in by the foster system then was later adopted by a man. The young girl and her new father had a special bond and connection that no one understood.
The reason why I enjoyed reading this piece was because it kept me wanting to read more and see what the girl was going to do and what was going to happen to her. This story allowed me to feel emotions for the young girl. I wish I was there to help her and take her in and work with her to get the human connection back with the girl.

ReplyDeleteThis story kills me. Well described. All that is missing is how you can apply what you learned from this story to your own story.
Do you know anyone at TA who was injured in a 4 wheeling accident? That may add soem emotion to your piece.
