(Blog 12) Quicky Monday 10-15-12

Thoughts are screaming among thousands of heads. Should the names from the Zumba Prostitute be released to the media. 106 charges were given to Alexis Wright, and 49 of them are prostitution. Wright owns a dance studio called Pura Vida Zumba. Not only Wright but also the dance studio will faces charges.

Mr. Hanright a school teacher had many insightful thoughts about everything that has happened. Hanright believes that eventually the names will be released to everyone weather it would be right now or even ten years down the road. Hanright explained how they should be released. "If you take the chance of messing around and doing something wrong you will get burned in the end," Hanright said.

Hanright also believes that its only being a big deal because the media is making it that way. "If the story was somewhere else no one would actually care about it, but since it is right across town that this is happening its being blown out of proportion." Police, officials, and the victims are the only ones that actually know the true story. "The prostitute knew what she was doing, and she knew all the trouble that she should get in if she got caught. She got what was coming to her," Hanright said.

Wright worked around 30 minutes away from where she commited all of her sexual crimes. While doing all the prostitution she would take videos of what was happening during the sexual encounters. With doing that she is now getting charges of producing under age pornography. That alone will be among 10 years in prison. Her name will be put upon a sex offender list.

With all the thoughts that are being thrown out among the crowds everyone has their own opinions. Is it truly fair to the young adults to be punished and have there names on a list for something wrong that someone else did. It is going to haunt them not only because its wrong, but it will be something that will ruin families because it has caused such an uproar around the town of Kennebunk Maine.

  1. Good job rounding up a story quickly.

The biggest advice I have is to write a draft and then edit to use less words when you can. Ex-instead of:
(66 words)

    try:
Art teacher, David Hanright said he thinks that eventually the names should be released. Hanright believes, "If you take the chance of messing around and doing something wrong you will get burned in the end." (35 words, but the same info)

    Watch homonyms whether/weather and its/it's

Careful not to lapse into opinion in the last paragraph.
